Tell Us Your Story

There is no one better qualified to encourage our students than someone who has personally experienced and met the challenges of distance learning. Many students need inspiration, motivation, and support just to enroll, as well as continue with and complete their studies. So, if you have a story and would be willing to share it with us, email your story to Jim.Healey@icslearn.ca or mail it to Jim Healey, C/O Thomson Education Direct, 925 Oak St., Scranton, PA 18515. We would love to hear from you.

Canadians currently own approximately 3.5 million dogs, according to Statistics Canada.

If you love dogs, perhaps you should consider a career working with dogs. The ICS Canada Dog Obedience Trainer/Instructor program prepares students to work with and train dogs and can lead
to a new career working for a kennel or obedience training school. You can even start your own business! Animal trainers can work with dogs by teaching pet owners the art of handling their animals, by training dogs for security or law-enforcement work, by training pets to be hired as animal actors in movies, television shows and commercials, and more.

ICS Canada graduates of the Dog Obedience/Trainer Program are eligible to sit for the NADOI (National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors) exam. With the proper experience, students may become
a full-time member of this Association.

Turn your love of animals into a profitable future. Wherever there are dogs, there is a need for dog obedience trainers and you'll have the skills for the job. Click here for more information on our Dog Obedience Trainer/Instructor program.

Employment opportunities increased in Canada as the value of the Canadian dollar grew due to free trade and investment growth. Considering the expected retirement rolls and the increase in jobs resulting from this positive economic outlook, most Canadians will benefit by additional training or upgrading of their current skills in order to become eligible for these jobs.

  • Lying about your experience.
  • Typos and misspellings.
  • Cutesy-pie layouts and stationary.
  • Telling too much about yourself.
