Meet Donna Sheehy
ICS Graduate and Accomplished Author/Artist

At ICS Canada we truly enjoy hearing from our successful graduates. Recently, Donna Sheehy shared with us her journey toward completing her ICS Canada program and its effect on her life.

Donna had a background in art and computers and a sincere love for writing. She enrolled in the Computer Graphic Artist program to blend these interests.

“In fact, my ultimate goal was to learn to use Corel Draw® to help me design my book. I also wanted to have the knowledge of computer graphics as a foundation toward opening my own in-home studio, where I can create logos, business cards, greeting cards, and more. With all those ideas, I felt the Computer Graphic Artist program was my best choice.”

“Since taking the Computer Graphic Artist program with ICS Canada, I have successfully accomplished a couple of goals. In July 2006 my book, “Romancing on the Bay of Fundy: My Soul’s Attraction,” was officially released. I used my skills with Corel Draw® to create a cover for my book. I didn’t expect my publisher to use my cover, but to use it as a suggestion to what I would like designed. Well, they loved my design so much, they used it! I also used my skills to create promotional materials such as bookmarks, business cards, posters, invitations to events, and more.”

Donna was also successful in accomplishing her second goal of starting a home-based graphics studio in her home.

“I am truly thankful for the distance education ICS Canada has to offer. I appreciate the quality of materials used and the time allowed to finish the course. In our busy world, it just makes sense! Thanks ICS Canada for providing quality materials and a course that is designed to work around my schedule.”

We sincerely thank Donna for sharing her story with us and wish her continued success in her career.
