Mining, oil and gas, health care, and social assistance are the hottest jobs, while manufacturing, agriculture, forestry, and fishing are not so hot, according to the 2006 Census and The Changing Face of Canada. Employment is growing faster in the municipalities surrounding Toronto, Vancover, and Montreal than in the cities themselves.
