I would like to start off by saying that this Teacher Aide Program was the best thing I could have ever done for myself. I finally completed something in my life. I am 38 years old and have three children, two of whom are autistic. I am always on the go. Up until a year ago, I was working full-time at a dead-end job. I have many years experience in the customer service industry but was going nowhere fast. I finally had my wake-up call when I attended a career planning class and learned that I was more suited to either do emergency response or education. Both shocked me, but I figured I would give education a try. I went online and discovered ICS Canada. So, I enrolled that night and got started right away. I finished six months and two days after
I enrolled, and I finished at an 84% average. I have since started my practicum at my kids’ school, and I will be finished soon. I have also recommended this program and the school to other people who are wondering what to do to improve their lives. I walk around with a smile now because I know I am making a difference in both my life and the lives of the kids I see everyday. Even my children see a change in their mom.
Thanks again, ICS Canada. |

| How to Nail the SECOND INTERVIEW |
Once you’ve been called back for a second job interview, it may be tempting to think you’ve got it, but an article on Monster.com suggests there’s still work to do. What is it about you that makes them consider you for the job? Why are you the right candidate? They may want to know more about your personal skills and interests to see if you fit in with the team, or they may want to see how you handle pressure. Expect more open-ended or challenging questions about your experience. Be prepared with examples in your head about projects you have managed and challenges you have met. A second interview is also an opportunity for you to address your own second thoughts or unanswered questions about the job or the workplace culture. Do you really want to work for these people?
