Amber Sanna, CVT

Associate Clinical Coordinator, Veterinary Academy

A.S. Veterinary Technology, Vet Tech Institute

Amber Sanna, Penn Foster Vet Academy.

What was your role prior to joining Penn Foster?
Before becoming an Associate Clinical Coordinator, I was a part-time grader for the Veterinary Technician program at Penn Foster. While doing that, I was also working in-practice at a top of the line small animal veterinary hospital as a Certified Veterinary Technician while also running a small craft business.

What most excites you about being a part of the Penn Foster team?
I love that our courses offer the flexibility of working at your own pace. As a single mother who also works full time, I am very cognizant of how valuable “free-time” is to our students.

What are your hobbies and interests?
I am very active in the outdoors and spend most of my free time hiking or kayaking. When the weather isn’t great, I enjoy crafting such as crocheting, painting and vinyl crafts.

What is your favorite quote?
“A man tells his stories so many times that he becomes the stories. They live on after him, and in that way he becomes immortal.” - Will Bloom, Big Fish

What is your favorite book/movie or TV show?
My favorite movie would have to be Big Fish. If I had to choose a favorite book, it would probably be Homer's Odyssey (not to be confused with The Odyssey).
