What was your role prior to joining Penn Foster?
Before joining Penn Foster, I worked as an adjunct instructor of English Composition at the University of Scranton and at Penn State University, Worthington-Scranton.

What most excites you about being a part of the Penn Foster team?
I love working with the wide variety of students Penn Foster connects me with. It’s amazing that one moment I can be talking with a student in Taiwan working on their Veterinary Technician Program and the next I’m working with a student in Texas studying Early Childhood Education. Every day and every student is different, and I love getting to help them all learn to communicate more effectively.

What are your hobbies and interests?
Well, I’m an English teacher, so reading and writing are high up there, but I am also an avid cook and a practicing yogi. I also play Dungeons & Dragons with my husband and take long walks in the woods with my rescue dog.

What is your favorite quote?
“Life is theater. Theater is life. If we’re showing what life is, can be, we must do theater.” María Irene Fornés

What advice do you have for Penn Foster students?
Reach out to your instructors! We’re dying to help you succeed, and too often students don’t call or email until they’re at the end of their rope. No question is too small, so don’t feel like you have to go it alone. We’re here to help.
