Erica started her career as a librarian running a high school library media center in Pennsylvania. Then, she went to graduate school in Maryland, where she gained invaluable experience working in an academic setting.
After completing graduate school, she began working as a Distance Education Librarian at Johns Hopkins University where her major duties involved answering reference questions from students and faculty via phone, email, chat, etc., creating learning objects, and collaborating with faculty to develop courses. While there, she also specialized in accessibility, copyright, and information literacy.
Most recently, she has returned to her hometown, Scranton, PA, where she is continuing her distance education work at Penn Foster along with spending more time with her nephews, watching the Real Housewives, and listening to pop punk music.
