What was your role prior to joining Penn Foster?
I have been a teacher for over 14 years with both online and in traditional settings. My passion is for student success and I spent many days mentoring students on college admissions assistance and private school entrance exams and interviews. I am an education advocate, specifically for those who are underrepresented and focus my studies on equity and fairness in education policies and teaching practices.

What most excites you about being a part of the Penn Foster team?
Connecting with students is my favorite aspect of teaching and at Penn Foster, there is a culture of "students first" and student success, which I am proud to be a part of.

What are your hobbies and interests?
Anything education really! I love to discuss current issues in the K-20 system and where we can make the biggest impact. I read lots of old novels and find that I connect with them differently as a grown adult with lived experiences than I did as a teenager.

What is your favorite quote?
"The more you know, the more you know you don't know". — Aristotle

What advice do you have for Penn Foster students?
INever give up. Education is the one thing you keep for yourself. Seeking knowledge never goes out of style, so keep on keeping on.
