Kathy Ruane faculty

Kathy Ruane has been an instructor with Penn Foster for over 30 years. She currently serves as the clinical coordinator for veterinary technician and veterinary assistant students, where she has the opportunity to assist and guide students as they begin their career in animal care. Prior to her work as an educator, Ms. Ruane worked as a laboratory research technician, a clinic manager, and veterinary nurse for a number of years.

What kinds of pets do you have?
I have a Doberman and a domestic short-haired cat.

Where is the most interesting place you’ve traveled?
I've visited Liverpool England twice, both times on Beatles tours.

What is one piece of advice you’d like to give students?
Study hard, and hang in there. You'll get through it.

What is one of your favorite quotes?
Give peace a chance.

What is an interesting fact about you?
I’m obviously a huge Beatles fan!
